註釋A case of reheat cracking on weldments of a real heavy welded construction is treated. The suspectibility to reheat cracking in accordance with known criteria and specimens are analysed. A decrease of toughness in HAZ as a consequence of stress relieving is determined. The parameter of fracture toughness in the term of COD in HAZ for welded and stress relieved condition is calculated. Due to guidance of PD 6493-80, the critical fault size in HAZ in welded and stress relieved condition is determined for a case of designed welds solution in which the cracking has appeared.
