註釋Philetus? Pierce (1765-1822) was probably born in Massachusetts. He married Sarah Southwick, daughter of Jesse and Copia White Southwick, in 1795, probably at Junius, Seneca County, New York. They had five children, 1797-1803, probably in New York and Pennsylvania. Descendants of their sons, Alanson Piers (ca. 1800-1832?) and Philetus G. Pierce (1801-1855) listed lived in Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, Oregon, and elsewhere.
