註釋This study investigated the role and nature of local leadership in influencing the socio-economic viability of small agricultural towns in Australia. Six case study communities were used and for each, two recent endogenous development projects which sought to improve the town's socio-economic viability were reviewed. The nature of leadership was found to be influenced by the resources available, the social context in which the project was based and the nature of the problem faced.
