註釋
This paper describes two methods of creating self-correcting training exercises, exercises that provide the trainee with knowledge of the correctness of his response as soon as he answers a question. The method described in the section called A Proposed Solution appears to be feasible, and the Bureau is continuing work on it. The method described in the section headed An Earlier Attempt To Solve Problems does not appear to be feasible but is presented in the hope that others will avoid the difficulties that were encountered. Both methods constitute attempts to construct inexpensive teaching machines.
