This book, written primarily for the student teacher or intern aspiring to become an elementary or secondary student teacher, provides practical and broadly based advice concerning the teacher's responsibility as well as his performance in the classroom, the school as a whole, and the community. He is encouraged to develop a critically constructive attitude toward the many innovations in teaching (team teaching, programmed learning, educational television. etc.) and shown how to make the best use of the assistance offered him by both school and college personnel through involvement in clinical situations.
