註釋
This report concerns an investigation of forest practices and enforcement of the British Columbia Forest Practices Code in a cutblock near Seymour Inlet on the mainland coast. The cutblock was harvested under timber licence T0127, held by Lone Tree Logging Ltd., and was observed to have two landslides, lack of regeneration planting, and roadside slash piles that were not burned according to Code requirements. Issues examined are: whether the slides resulted from non-compliance with the Code; compliance with the silviculture prescription with respect to planting the site; compliance with regulatory requirements to dispose of slash; and government enforcement related to the above issues.
