Florida, 1910-1918, [numbers 2100-3235].
註釋Field notes Vol. 2a pt. 1 documents John Kunkel Small's botanical collecting in Florida from 1910-1918. The book is comprised of a list of specimens numbered 2100-3235, with some numbers left blank. Only 104 of the 192 pages are used. It accompanies and lists the same specimen numbers as Field notes Vol. 1 (1-2980) and Vol. 2 (2981-5960). Some entries in Vol. 2a pt. 1 are crossed out or corrected, and it appears this book was created first and entries were later copied into the other volumes. Entries typically include both genus and species. Location is described by nearby place name, chiefly in southern Florida in the vicinity of Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and the Everglades. Specimens were collected on New York Botanical Garden expeditions in 1901 (with G.V. Nash), 1903, 1904 (with P. Wilson), 1906 (with J.J. Carter), 1909 (with J.J. Carter), 1909 (with J.J. Carter), 1911 (with H. de Vries), 1912 (with H. de Vries), 1913, and 1915. Six loose sheets are included in a pocket, with notes on various specimen numbers.
