As Swedish immigrants, they prospered in their chosen land. Harold was educated and apprenticed as a cabinetmaker in his homeland, He ultimately chose undertaking as his profession, helping others through the ancient rituals of burial. It takes a special person to perform this task, and his community recognized his service with a monument.
Freda was the self-sufficient homemaker nurturing her family in the pioneer tradition.
