註釋
This paper studies the perception of isolation and loneliness that Spanish adolescents have when they cannot go online, with a view to describing the factors involved and establishing a profile for the younger population that require support in their development process. The research was conducted in two stages: the first one involved a quantitative study with a non-experimental design of an ex post facto nature based on a survey. Use was made of multiple correspondence analysis. The cohort consisted of 2076 individuals (aged 12-18), formed by non-probabilistic, casual or accessibility sampling. The second qualitative stage involved 21 discussion groups, seeking a balance in terms of gender, provenance and backgrounds (rural and urban), which provided a sample of 177 students. The study has revealed factors related to gender and age regarding the feeling of isolation and social exclusion when these adolescents are offline, identifying two profiles with a high degree of vulnerability: girls with high marks that do not know what they want to do in the future, and boys with a low academic performance and mainly younger than 15.
