At the request of British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority, aconsulting group has evaluated the possible effects of noise andvibration on the communities of Oasis and Riverdale duringconstruction of the proposed Murphy Creek Project. The scope ofthis work included the following: measurement of existingcommunity noise levels and prediction of noise and vibrationlevels likely to occur during construction; assessment of thesignificance of any noise or vibration impacts identified;identification of possible solutions or mitigative measures; andconclusions of study. This report documents the noise andvibration evaluations carried out by the consulting group.
