Thirteen are all needed and each must choose to be part of the Assembly; the future of an Empire depends on these thirteen lives. Magic lives within them, but they must all master their gifts before darkness destroys it all. Some of these lives are ever so fragile. June must learn how to live in this weird land. Kara must learn to care. Thirteen lives are raising in this fast-moving story. June is the start; Kara, the catalyst. The others gather, ever faster, but will it be towards the Empire's destruction or its rebirth?
