The Assembly of Thirteen

Thirteen must gather to stop Genocide of four races. The first is June the photo journalist, and we find her hiding in Livermore, California. The second, is a warrior and killer. Kara a giant from a land of magic, where demons walk and are as real as the sky above, The rest have power for destruction or creation in their souls. They are scattered around a land where dogs are more than pet and trees are as alive as your next-door neighbor. The fight is for survival, the goal is total freedom. Thirteen are all needed and each must choose to be part of the Assembly; the future of an Empire depends on these thirteen lives. Magic lives within them, but they must all master their gifts before darkness destroys it all. Some of these lives are ever so fragile. June must learn how to live in this weird land. Kara must learn to care. Thirteen lives are raising in this fast-moving story. June is the start; Kara, the catalyst. The others gather, ever faster, but will it be towards the Empire's destruction or its rebirth?
