Propagation of Selected Clones of Artemisia Annua L. and Measurements of Their Artemisinin Content Under Laboratory and Field Conditions
註釋Plantlets derived from North Vietnam Artemisia annua seeds by tissue culture technique were heterogenous in population with variable artemisinin content. They were randomly selected and cloned. Statistical comparison of the artemisinin content from the various clones (3-week-old) indicated that they may be grouped as high [mean 0.41 %+0.02 SD (0.39-0.44 %), moderate [mean 0.25 % + 0.02 SD (0.23-0.29 %)] and low [mean 0.13 %+0.03 SD (0.09-0.16 %)] artemisinin yielders. The high artemisinin yielding clones when planted in the field continued to produce higher artemisinin content (0.18, 0.29 and 0.33 %) than the low yielding clones (0.06, 0.08, 0.09 and 0.13 %) after 3, 6, 9 and 12 weeks of growth respectively.
