註釋Bad ḳodesh is a letter to General Governor Chovanski, Vitebsk territory, to show that the deep teachings of Hasidism and cabala do not support the accusation that the Rebbe is an opponent of the Tsar. The rebbe was imprisoned for three weeks in 1826.
