Opportunities to Enhance Saskatchewan's Oil Industry Through Technology Research, Development and Demonstration
註釋The continued development of Saskatchewan's oil resources can provide substantial benefits to the provincial economy. Government support for research can offset some of the cost and the financial risk associated with research and can encourage additional investment by industry in the development of new technology. Provincial benefits derived from the application of new technology include royalty and tax revenues, economic development, and job creation. This report discusses the opportunities for oil research and development in Saskatchewan and the role government should play in supporting basic and applied research in the province. The report suggests measures to be included within the provincial energy strategy. An appendix summarizes the proceedings of a 1993 oil research and development workshop held in Regina.
