It's All Blarney
註釋This collection of four plays clearly portrays the physical and mental realities of emigration and the experience of being an immigrant. "Wild Grass" is about all of us who are exiles. In "Mary Maginn," the heroine experiences exile at home and can only find the strength to survive it through faith in a religion that promises a home elsewhere. The characters in "It's All Blarney," in their struggle to survive away from 'home', find themselves weaving myths about the past, the 'old country', and themselves. To "Comrade Brennan," the dreams of an ideal home for humanity appear to lie shattered at the end of the 20th century.
