註釋Samuel Widdicombe (1851-1937) immigrated from Portsea Island, near Portsmouth, England, to Canada in 1857 while he was still a child. He came with his parents, Robert Widdicombe and Elizabeth Bannister, and his brothers. The family settled in Ontario. In 1882 Samuel Widdicombe moved his family to Manitoba to homestead. Descendants lived in western Canada, California, Oklahoma and elsewhere.
