Short Stories from the Literary Magazines
註釋The stories here are, the editors feel, some of the very finest that have been printed in recent years, in both the better- and the lesser-known literary magazines. There are names that have come into considerable prominence in the last twenty years, and others relatively unknown whose excellence will push them shortly into a wider fame. The contemporaneity of the stories will make this anthology useful in fiction writing classes, but the editors see it as a text for those literature classes which need to take the postmodern into account, or for an introduction to the genre with fresh, significant material that has not been endlessly scrutinized in print. -- Preface.
