Emerging Animal and Plant Industries
註釋The value to the national economy of 27 emerging rural industries, from coffee and crocodiles to sesame seeds and exotic spices, has been counted at more than $673 million to the national economy. This report offers proof that emerging sectors of agriculture have potential to become mainstream. The actual value of these industries to Australia is far greater, because they deliver environmental benefits and boost the productivity of other agricultural industries, as well as providing avenues for diversification. The establishment of new industries also contributes to community resilience and regional development.
