Since 2015 sub-Saharan Africa has experienced severe climate-induced disruptions, affecting the livelihoods of tens of millions of poor households. This has been compounded by civil strife and conflicts, trans-boundary plant and animal pests and diseases, and socio-economic shocks that could reverse years of progress.
