Prangenberg's works in this exhibition display great affinity with literature, both contemporary and historical, and to the art of the Romantic period. However, Prangenberg himself never takes a narrative perspective in his approach: he approaches Schubert's songs with a consistently diverse and wonderfully lyrical vocabulary of abstract forms and symbols that he has developed over the years.
