註釋Roger Sterry was born ca. 1630 in England or the West Indies. He married Hannah Palmer, the widow of Capt. Thomas Hewitt and the daughter of Walter and Rebecca Short Palmer, in Stonington, Connecticut, in 1671. They had a son and a daughter. He died between 1674 and 1681 probably in southern New England or at sea. Descendants lived in Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, California, and elsewhere.
