Matilda Doudel Bailey Account Books
註釋Account books kept by Matilda Doudel Bailey of York, Pa., detailing her sales of millinery and dry goods and notions. The names and accounts receivable of her customers as well as a listing of her "expenses for business" and lists of some stock inventory and household goods are recorded. The account books consist of three homemade fascicles plus a notebook which Frederick Bailey had previously used as a commonplace book. The notebook also contains his notes on United States history and law. A bill for household goods dated 1847 is loosely inserted in the notebook.
