註釋
Contains translations of documents, with connecting text. Surveys Eichmann's part in the Final Solution. Documents Nazi pressure on the Hungarian government during 1943 to deport the Hungarian Jews. In March 1944 Eichmann arrived in Budapest. With the assistance of the Hungarian fascists Endre and Baky, he introduced discriminatory measures, the yellow star, and the expropriation of property. The Hungarian gendarmerie enthusiastically helped in the concentration of Jews in ghettos and in their deportation. The Anti-Jewish Institute published antisemitic propaganda, such as the journal "Harc". Describes international efforts to save the Jews of Budapest, Horthy's intervention to stop the deportations, his abdication and replacement by Szalasi, Eichmann's return and renewed deportations to forced labor, atrocities and harassment by the Arrow Cross, until the entry of the Soviet troops in January 1945. Includes testimonies (from the Hungarian war crimes trials in 1945) on Eichmann's activities in Hungary, information on the Brand-Kasztner negotiations, and evidence of Eichmann's responsibility for extermination in the camps.
