Internationally renowned scholars Kornelia von Berswordt-Wallrabe, Thomas Girst, Gerhard Graulich, Ana Dimke, László Beke, Gunda Luyken and Didier Ottinger shed light on the many strands of Duchamp's legacy, from his early paintings and objects to his readymades, his writings, his uses of allegory, sexuality, art history and the history of science. Research-based findings are also presented alongside these examinations of Duchamp's current reception in art. This anthology updates the current discourse on the twentieth century's most influential artist, whose work continues to provoke fruitful interpretation.
