註釋
Education in Sugar Creek Township in Putnam County, Ohio has always been especially important to the progressive immigrants who settled as pioneers in Sugar Creek Township in the middle 1800's. It remains important today even after the long and arduous struggle with the state department of Education's determination to rid small towns of their livelihood by removing their schools. Even today the choices that were made in the fifties and sixties have hurt present villages. Today, with internet studies, students are inundated with such a variety of studies that they sometimes miss out on the basics of learning that are essential to all. This history is one of five compiled by Karen Evans Odell with the assistance of many alumni of Vaughnsville High School and residents of Sugar Creek Township.
