Conference Participation Decision-making
註釋This study aims to identify factors that influence university faculty's decision to attend professional conferences and examine the predictive relationship of the identified factors to faculty's future conference participation intention. A questionnaire was developed based on Oppermann andChon's (1997) model of the convention participation decision making process. A mail survey was administered to a stratified random sample of 800 faculty members at a large mid-westem university and yielded a 45 percent response rate. Six factors were identified as aresult of factor analysis, explaining 57 percent of the total variance.
