Richard E. Car Letter
註釋The collection consists of a letter written on 24 May 1849 by Richard Carr to his brother, Glen Carr. The letter was written from his unit's camp near Eagle Pass, Texas, on the Rio Grande River (near San Antonio). Carr described the climate and landscape of the country surrounding the camp, the outbreak of cholera, and the deaths of his mother and sister. He also provided guidance concerning his estate, in the event of his own death while serving in the United States (U.S.) Army.
