Concentration Camp Dachau, 1933-1945
註釋This catalogue is intended to guide the visitor to the Dachau Memorial Museum through the exhibition, providing a reference guide to all the documents displayed. An attempt is made to present the history of the camp from 1933 until 1945, to show how it came into being and how it was developed during the Nazi era, firstly as a training centre, and then as a model camp for the SS in the perfection of the concentration camp system. Dachau became a training ground for extermination camps such as Auschwitz, Majdanek and Treblinka. The documents on display voice the spirit of the Nazi State, and vocabulary and expressions used are typical of Nazi terminology. Many of these documents are shown in this book, as well as photographs of Dachau and its prisoners.
