Teaching from a Culturally Sensitive Perspective
註釋As the United States becomes more culturally and ethnically diverse as a nation, public schools mirror the diversity. Demands increase to find the most effective way to help all students academically, as well as learn to coexist with each other. Teachers are faced with the challenge of making lessons "culturally responsive" for all students while not foregoing one group over another. This thesis presents a Professional Development Unit (PDU) for ESL, CLD, and regular teachers, as a website to be taken during the first nine weeks of class. It is a progressive and measurable tool to get familiar with Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) (Ladson-Billings, 1994) and become and multicultural responsive educator
