註釋Given the availability of suitable phenology models, forecasting seasonal events for integrated pest management also requires the availability of adequate temperature data, running large numbers of simulations, and interpreting and representing the results in a form suitable for decision making. BioSIM, a software product developed by the Canadian Forest Service, was designed to perform these tasks. This report is an analysis of BioSIM's performance in forecasting the phenology of spruce budworm populations in New Brunswick in 1992 and 1993, using the phenology of spruce budworm populations in New Brunswick in 1992 and 1993, using the Régnière and the Lysyk models.
