註釋Johannes Zimerman and his wife, Emma (Anna) Schneider, Mennonites, had seven children, ca. 1818-1838, born in Baden and Alsace-Lorraine, Germany. The oldest son remained in Germany, but his son and the seven other children immigrated to the United States, ca. 1849, and settled first in Indiana. The parents may have also immigrated to the United States but this has not been proven. Descendants listed, especially descendants of Isaac Zimmerman (1838-1930), lived in Indiana, Illinois, Kansas, Nebraska and elsewhere.
