In his installations he transforms paintings and (interior) architectural models into new, artificial spaces. However, these are not functional-pragmatic architecture, but autonomous sculptures that are nonetheless fragile and ephemeral in terms of content and form, related to the respective exhibition site.0The starting point for a work can be anything that touches Kleine existentially through its beauty and quality, that fascinates and inspires him, from an Italian Renaissance palace to an old garden hut, from an antique cenotaph to a painting by Paul Klee.0This publication presents Kleine's site-specific installations from 2011 to 2021 in detail in text and images.0// 0Der Bildhauer Klaus Kleine tritt durch raumgreifende Installationen sowie durch Fotografien von realen Rauminszenierungen und virtuell konstruierten Räumen hervor. In seinen Installationen transformiert er Gemälde und (innen-)architektonische Vorbilder in neue, gebaute Räume.
