Bartholomew M'Garahan V. Rev. Thomas Maguire
註釋"This is an action on the case for seduction: the declaration contains four counts; the first count states that the defendant, intending to deprive the plaintiff of the service and assistance of his daughter and servant, Anne M'Garahan, debauched and carnally knew her, whereby the said Anne M'Garahan became pregnant, and the plaintiff was deprived of the service of his said daughter, and was put to great expense in taking care of her. The second count is for the loss of her service only, omitting the expenses. The third count states, that she was the servant of the plaintiff. The fourth count is the same as the first, omitting to state that she was his daughter. Damages are laid at £500"--Page [3]. Jury found a verdict for the defendant.
