Study Skills: a Handbook for University Students
註釋

Dr Jason Davies has a degree in Biochemistry and a PhD in Physical Chemistry from one of the UK's leading universities. He has taught Maths, Chemistry, Biology and Physics at all levels and also works as a specialist study skills adviser.

Study Skills: A Handbook for University Students is adapted from Dr Davies's highly successful study skills course which has been taught at colleges and universities throughout the UK for almost a decade. The course has helped countless students improve their confidence and their approach to studying by encouraging them to become active, as opposed to passive learners. The course teaches simple techniques and study activities which can easily be incorporated into the life of a typical student. The down-to-earth style and the 'been there done that' tone of this book is a result of working closely on a daily basis with students, and thereby having a clear understanding of the reality of the day-to-day life of someone in higher education.

The course has received rave reviews from participating students at UK universities, and the project has been praised by UK officials including the Director General for Higher Education and the President of the NUSWales.
