註釋In the summer and fall of 2007, the American artist Christine Hill exhibited her installation work, "Minutes," at the Venice Biennale Arsenale to critical acclaim. Hill, who has been splitting time between New York and Berlin since 1992, is known for creating the Volksboutique workshop, a second-hand shop-cum-social-sculpture that has been invited to participate in many important international exhibitions, including Documenta X in 1997. This catalogue, produced to accompany the Biennale exhibition, is beautifully designed to recall Hill's Moleskine appointment calendar. Replete with installation and "product" shots, it also documents the passage of time from March 2006, when she learned she had been invited to participate, to March 2007, when the work and book needed to be done. Interspersed with texts by Rick Moody, Shelley Jackson and Hill herself, the layout details everything on the artist's agenda-from deadlines, to meetings, to private appointments at the beauty salon.
