Preliminary Study of the Possible Impacts of a One Metre Rise in Sea Level at Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island
註釋One of the direct results of global warming is expected to be a rise in sea-levels from 20-140 cm or more by the middle of the next century. This rise in sea-level will have, in turn, significant implications for coastal areas. This study begins with the assumption of a one metre rise in sea level because of global warming, and predicts the impacts of this scenario on Charlottetown, PEI. The study does not attempt to validate this assumption, however, nor does it deal with analysis of other factors affecting sea level such as tectonic subsidence.
