Bernar Venet
註釋In 1968, Bernar Venet staged a production at the historic Judson Church Theater, succeeding Robert Rauschenberg, Robert Morris and Carolee Schneeman. His performance with scientists is praised even today by Roselee Goldberg, who describes Venet and his performance respectively, as "a pioneering and critical conceptual artist" and a "contribution to performance history." Venets sculptures have been displayed in the most important capitals across the globe, and have frequently come to include the interaction of other disciplines--performance, music, poetry, photography, video--enriching and elaborating on his works characteristic concepts. From his tribute to Yves Klein, Performance dans les detritus, to work from his recent Centre Pompidou show, Performances 1961-2005 documents them all.
