註釋Memoirs of a Jew from Krupina, Slovakia, born in 1919. The memoir relates his experiences between 1942-44 in Nováky, a Slovak internment camp for Jews which later became a labor camp, as well as his participation in the Slovak Uprising in summer 1944. After the war, Špitzer remained in Slovakia, where he became a well-known writer and critic; he died in 1995.
