Protein Kinase C Isozymes in Osteoblasts
註釋Isozyme expression was determined in normal mouse and rat osteoblasts and several mouse, rat, and human osteoblastic cell lines. PKC-$\rm\alpha,\ \beta\sb{I},\ \epsilon,\ \zeta,\ and\ \iota/\lambda$ were expressed in each of the osteoblasts examined and PKC-$\rm\beta\sb{II}$ in all but one cell line. PKC-$\delta,\eta,$ and $\theta$ were expressed in some of the osteoblasts, but PKC-$\gamma$ was not in any of the osteoblasts screened. In both normal mouse osteoblasts and UMR-106 rat osteoblastic cells, the conventional $\rm(\alpha,\ \beta\sb{I})$ and novel $(\delta,\ \epsilon,\ \eta)$ PKC isozymes were down-regulated by prolonged phorbol 12,13-dibutyrate (PDB) treatment, but the atypical $(\zeta,\ \iota/\lambda)$ isozymes were not. This was a specific, time-dependent, dose-dependent, reversible effect.
