Intrauterine insemination (IUI) is a trivial therapeutic modality in infertility. The chapters discussed are intrauterine insemination--an overview, physiology of ovulation with special reference to controlled ovarian hyperstimulation, role of laparoscopy before intrauterine insemination, etc. The second section andrology briefly discusses on topics such as semen analysis according to WHO criteria, semen collection, semen preparation for intrauterine insemination, IUI in male subfertility: how it affects outcome of IUI, and semen freezing and use in intrauterine insemination. The subsequent sections provide a deep knowledge on ovulation, special situations, procedures, results, and IUI--inception and future.
