註釋
In this project, a computer program was developed to perform structural analysis and capacity assessment of existing and proposed span wire and mast arm traffic signal support structures. The structures that can be analyzed include single span wire, box span wire, hanging box span wire, X span wire, single mast arm and dual mast arm. The types of attachments that can be considered include traffic signal heads, with or without backplates, overhead signs and other miscellaneous attachments such as traffic cameras and vehicle detectors. The program performs load analysis and capacity assessment in accordance with the strength and serviceability requirements of the Sixth Edition (2013) of the AASHTO Standard Specifications for Structural Supports for Highway Signs, Luminaires and Traffic Signals.
