The important critical edition of Aristoteles work 'On the Soul' edited by F.A. Trendelenburg. A philosopher in his own right, Trendelenburg (1802-1872) was highly critical of Hegel's absolute philosophy and relying more on Aristoteles' view that knowledge is based on empirical facts. The Danish philosopher Søren Kierkegaard was also inspired by Trendelenburg's edition of 'de Anima' and owned a copy of this book in his library.
