Subliūškę mitai
註釋The Soviet occupation of Lithuania in 1940-41 and the Nazi occupation of 1941-44 left a number of antisemitic myths in the country, aiming, inter alia, at accusing the Jewish victims of the Holocaust and at whitewashing their murderers. These myths include the "symmetric formula", stating that Lithuanian participation in the genocide of Jews was a reaction to Jewish participation in the Soviet genocide of Lithuanians; the view that only Germans prerpetrated the Holocaust in Lithuania; and that Lithuania is a victim of Zionists and of the Wiesenthal Center. Presents a collection of excerpts from periodicals and from public statements of Lithuanian political leaders, former dissidents and political prisoners, the Church, and prominent historians, from interviews and TV discussions, deploring antisemitism and repudiating these myths.
