註釋
The first English monograph on gray system theory written by the Permanent Director of the Chinese Grey System Society, the Director of GRSC (Grey System Research Center) at Chienkuo Technology University, Taiwan, and the associate editor of the Journal of Chinese Grey System. This monograph can be used as a textbook or complementary materials to graduate students and researchers from computer sciences, artificial intelligent, control engineering, and fuzzy logic. The grey system theory, first proposed by Professor Julong Deng in 1982, avoids the inherent defects of conventional, statistical methods and only requires a limited amount of data to estimate the behavior of an uncertain system. During the past two decades, the grey system theory has been successfully applied to industrial systems, social systems, ecological systems, economy, geography, traffic, management, education, and environment sciences. The grey system theory is successfully used to the analysis of uncertain systems that have multi-data inputs, discrete data, and insufficient data.
