The kitchen equipment has a tool arrangement driven by a drive unit, a processing container and a control unit controlling or regulating the operation of the kitchen equipment. A unit is provided for the detection of the electrical conductivity, particularly the electrical conductivity of the to-be processed foodstuffs. The electrical conductivity detecting unit is connected with the control unit and comprises two contact electrodes. An independent claim is included for a method for controlling a kitchen equipment.
