註釋The dissertation is divided into two sections: an essay titled "The Poetry of Simultaneous Perspectives: Split Screen, Superimposition, and Multiple Narratives" and a poetry collection titled Bitterroot. "The Poetry of Simultaneous Perspectives: Split Screen, Superimposition, and Multiple Narratives" examines a set of poems in which two or more planes of perspective are operative at once. These poems fuse images and/or narratives to create a new hybrid perspective, one previously unavailable to poet and reader, and one which is integral to understanding the complex and multifaceted nature of the poem's subject matter.
