註釋"Emma McLellan will present a cacophony of images of historical functional everyday objects sourced from online trading sites, auction houses and personal blogs, remade as screenprints on board and installed within the gallery as a catalogue of the habit of collecting. McLellan's sampled everyday items have followed a journey from function to artefact to discarded object, which (through the installation) have then re-materialised with newfound value. The printed artefacts, ranging from jugs and plates to tools and toys, and presented in stacks, invite viewers to reflect on Auckland's history and individual memories and stories - and ask: What is it that inspires our desire to collect? Emma McLellan is a Printmaker and Painter and teaches Visual Art at Manukau Institute of Technology"--Artists Alliance website.
