Effect of Initial Stress, Irregularity and Rigidity on Shear Wave Propagation in a Porous Medium
註釋The book is divided into four chapters and each chapter is divided into the sections depending on the diversity of the subject matter. In the first chapter the introduction to the subject area; Some basic definitions and concepts have been discussed with examples to acquaint the reader with the basic terminology used in the book and further divided into eight sections; 1.1 Introduction of seismology, 1.2 Earthquake, 1.3 Seismic waves and its types, 1.4 Some definitions of other types of waves, 1.5 Explanation of Earth construction and its layers, 1.6 Brief explanation about theory of elasticity, 1.7 Hooke's law and 1.8 Porous medium. In second chapter the literature survey of wave propagation in different medium have been discussed. In third chapter frequency equation for model consisting the layers such as: intermediate transversely isotropic fluid saturated porous layer lying between isotropic homogeneous elastic layer with rigidity and homogeneous elastic half space under initial stress and irregularity in the form of rectangle is present at the lower half-space and divided into six sub-sections. The conclusion and future scope of the considered problem have been discussed in fourth chapter. In the end, a list of the references mentioned at various places in the entire book has been given.
