Women as Leaders and Managers in Higher Education
註釋As in Fortune 500 companies, women hold few positions at the highest management levels at colleges and universities worldwide. A dozen contributors (including educational leaders, researchers, and an executive "headhunter") to this Society for Research into Higher Education publication provide an international female perspective on this troubling glass-ceiling phenomenon--despite the fact that in the US more than half of higher education students are female. Issues encompass context (theories, behavioral studies, and the broader employment market); case studies; and strategies for implementing change (networking, work shadowing, and equal opportunity policies in the UK, USA, and Australia).
