This rambling account tells of his pre-war days, first reluctant attempts to do Shakespeare, a great deal about his days with 'Lady,' and the snap-shot portraits of many famous theatrical figures: Lerner and Lowe, Julie Andrews and Audrey Hepburn (equally gracious and great), Rex Harrison, Moss Hart, Otto Preminger, Groucho Marx, Maurice Chevalier, Danny Kaye, Petula Clark, Laurence Olivier, and others. He may not have been a great star, but Stanley Holloway did have a great life.
